An example of the strange patterns caused by editing a texture incorrectly.
Re-texturing is the act of replacing the current Lords of Uberdark skin with another. This also includes the ability to change the look of items such as the pickaxe. Doing so can change the look and feel of the game as desired.
You can find a collection of texture packs here.
To re-texture you will need:
- An image manipulation program (such as photoshop) that handles .TGA files
- Backups of the original skins, so changes can be reversed easily
- Lords of Uberdark Alpha 37
How to re-texture:
- Open the file in an image editor such as GIMP or photoshop.
- Edit your texture.
- Save the texture in the same format as origionally, without compression, and with the origin at the top corner.
